the BCPortal® modules

The BCPortal® framework core consists of three modules for generating and delivering company business communications.

eSource is the module that integrates BCPortal® with legacy systems, meaning the company data sources that host the dynamic data needed for the formation of the business communications. eSource provides three crucial functions:

  • integration with data production environments, ERP and CRM, thus providing chances of personalisation;
  • the application of business rules defining the communication requirements and strategies of the company, processing the data of the single document and operating logically on the entire flow, for instance with application of the sorting and aggregation algorithms required to cater for the different mailing criteria;

eDoc is the document generation module, supplied by the data flows processed by eSource and personalised for the production of the desired layout. Besides the input flows in XML, the module uses all the graphic and printing resources needed to create the communication layout, as defined during the planning stage. eDoc produces outputs of different formats in native mode: AFPDS, PCL, Meta, IPDS, IJS print spools that supply paper transformation industry processes or electronic documents in PDF, XML format, etc.

ePublish is the module that deals with the multi-channel distribution of the documents and implements the sorting criteria on the different available channels. The configuration of ePublish supports mail distribution with advanced delivery and places at the disposal of the company innovative dispatch methods such as electronic billing or alternative channels, such as fax, GSM and GPRS, e-mail, and EDI transmission for B2B integration.

eProof

The aim of eProof is to achieve the release in production of the components for the documentary generation needed to create the required layout. To do this, eProof places at the disposal of company departments involved in the outbound communication management and maintenance processes interactive tools that simplify the maintenance application activities of the development environments, integration tests or exercises.
eProof is a collaborative tool offering different functions:

  • management of BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) relating to the distributed work groups which intervene in the life cycle of the business documents. The specification, design, development and integration test definition stages of a business communication project are traced, coordinated and notified to the different actors involved in the process;
  • filing of relevant communication project data and details, starting with the document versions and relevant documentary generation engine and all related elements, up to specific project resources;
  • performance of test integration activities on environments also prepared for productions distinguished by high production volumes.

eLog

eLog makes possible the control of all BCPortal® production process stages. The module collects and processes the data issued by the core modules during production and highlights punctual production data such as the instants of lot transfer towards the production environment and the verification of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) which define system efficiency in relation to the values assumed by this in the contractually specified SLAs (Service Level Agreements). eLog traces evolution and generates table reports and statistical graphs per type of flow, making it possible to check the performance of business communication processes.

eArchive

eArchive is the module that enables companies to perform Substitutive Filing in accordance with the provisions - including from a technical viewpoint ? of applicable Italian law (Law Decree no. 82 dated 7 March 2005; Decree of the Ministry of the Economy and Finances dated 23 January 2004; CNIPA resolution no. 11 dated 19 February 2004; Law Decree no. 52 dated 20 February 2004; Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 13 January 2004), thus enabling them to dematerialise their archives.

In offering the eArchive service in outsourcing, ebilling S.p.A. can act as issuer of the invoices on behalf of the client company, as well as substitutive filing manager for the company.
